Professional Tekken 8 competitor SuperBrine went viral after climbing from Beginner to the God of Destruction rank while playing Alisa completely blindfolded with a sleep mask. He streamed the seven‑part challenge on Twitch from June to early October 2026, ending with a live broadcast that sparked debate over the game’s difficulty and Alisa’s accessibility. SuperBrine confirmed the mask blocked all vision and that the run was unedited, emphasizing the stunt was a personal test, not a critique of Tekken 8. He cited decades of fighting‑game experience, extensive smurf accounts, and the title’s precise audio cues as essential to navigating matches. Physical strain from eye irritation forced frequent breaks, highlighting the mental and bodily endurance required for anyone attempting similar extreme feats.

💡 Why It Matters

· The stunt demonstrates how unconventional personal challenges can dramatically boost a pro gamer’s visibility, prompting sponsors and leagues to weigh creative content as a metric of marketability.

Dynasty Warriors producer would rather make new games than more remasters

Dynasty Warriors producer Tomohiko Sho told 4Gamer that, after the launch of Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered on Switch 2, PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, he would rather spend the remainder of his career creating new titles than remastering old ones. The remaster, rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 to celebrate the series’ 25th anniversary, has earned “Very Positive” reviews on Steam. Sho said any future remasters would depend on this release’s performance, but he personally finds re‑creating his own work “almost a complete remake” and questions why he should redo it. While not dismissing fan demand, he hinted he may delegate remaster projects to other team members so he can focus on new games and sequels.

💡 Sho’s shift toward original development could reshape Koei Tecmo’s product pipeline, signaling a move away from the lucrative nostalgia‑driven strategy that has dominated the franchise.

Fans might not “pull out $1,000” for PS6 and Project Helix, says…

Former Sony executive Shawn Layden questioned whether consumers will pay $1,000 for next‑generation consoles if upgrades are marginal. He cited the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S’s rising prices and argued that incremental improvements like higher ray‑tracing or teraflops may not justify a premium. Layden compared the PS1‑PS2 leap to VHS‑DVD, noting modern generations offer less dramatic change. He also warned that subscription services can hurt developers’ profits when games launch on day one.

💡 The debate signals a potential shift in how console makers justify high price tags, affecting both manufacturers’ pricing strategies and gamers’ willingness to upgrade.
