Fortnite replaced a track‑list artwork after fans noticed a Google Gemini AI watermark on the original image. The music track “Meow” by Ironmouse, Sleeping Forest & HalaCG was added last month, and the watermark appeared in the bottom right corner of the artwork. The change followed a social‑media stir on Reddit, prompting Epic Games to upload an alternate version without the watermark. The watermark originated from the track’s creator, not Epic, but the company’s swift correction reflects sensitivity to AI‑generated art in its game.

Cerebras Stock Gets A Boost After OpenAI CEO Sam Altman Calls Chipmaker…

Cerebras Systems shares surged nearly 7% after OpenAI CEO Sam Altman publicly affirmed the company as a “close partner,” countering rumors that OpenAI would favor Nvidia GPUs for its GPT‑6.1 Ultrafast mode. Altman’s statement eased investor anxiety following a 20% decline and a 10% drop from the IPO price, compounded by the expiration of insider lock‑ups that added selling pressure. OpenAI launches visual ads that appear alongside image generation results

OpenAI will begin displaying visual display ads alongside images generated by ChatGPT later this month, initially in the United States and limited to a test group of advertisers. The ads are clearly labeled, will not affect the chatbot’s responses, and are part of a broader effort to monetize the free and low‑cost tiers of the service. OpenAI is also expanding its ad‑measurement ecosystem, adding click‑attribution partners such as AppsFlyer, Adjust and Tenjin, and launching brand‑suitability pilots with DoubleVerify and Integral Ad Science. The company hopes to eventually reach its 1.2 billion weekly users worldwide, using the visual format to attract advertisers seeking richer storytelling. The rollout follows Meta’s launch of Muse, a free AI app that intensifies competition in the chatbot market.

💡 Visual ads turn ChatGPT into a high‑traffic, image‑rich ad inventory, giving brands a new channel to reach millions of AI users while pressuring free‑tier users toward paid subscriptions.

Southeast Asia among most vulnerable to potential collapse in AI boom

Southeast Asia, China, Japan and South Korea are the most exposed economies to a sharp AI‑boom correction, the Asean+3 Macroeconomic Research Office warned in its 2026 Financial Stability Report on Monday. The region’s central position in global AI supply chains and deep ties to AI‑linked financial markets create multiple contagion pathways, including falling tech exports, portfolio losses, capital outflows, refinancing pressure on leveraged firms and weaker investor confidence. The warning follows growing anxiety over inflated tech valuations, soaring chip and data‑center spending and circular financing deals. Asia supplies two‑thirds of AI‑related trade, from South Korean memory chips to Malaysian semiconductor assembly, so a sudden drop in AI demand could cut export revenues, investment and growth in the region overall economy.

💡 A disorderly AI correction would spread financial strain from tech‑centric firms to broader markets, testing the stability of economies heavily dependent on AI exports.
