Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 reveals pricey spawn options for DMZ,…

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s DMZ mode introduces five spawn options that vary by cost, from free foot spawn to a $100,000 air vehicle. Players can spend DMZ Cash to deploy in a Polaris Dagor A1, Light Tactical Vehicle, helicopter, or cargo‑plane‑style aircraft, each offering speed, armor, or firepower advantages. Unlocking the higher tiers requires completing separate story missions. The new system raises concerns about competitive balance as wealthier players gain significant deployment benefits.

💡 The tiered spawn system could create a pay‑to‑win dynamic, undermining the extraction shooter’s core fairness and potentially alienating new or lower‑spending players.

Best Buy has announced late-night store openings with limited Zelda 40th Anniversary…

Best Buy announced that select stores will open overnight on November 23 to sell limited stock of Nintendo’s Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 consoles and Pro controllers. The retailer will keep doors open from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., offering a “first‑come, first‑served” purchase model and requiring customers to pre‑register online for a time‑slot. Inventory is expected to be scarce, with each location receiving only a handful of units, prompting the chain to stagger releases across multiple markets to reduce chaos. The move follows a wave of midnight‑opening events by major retailers for high‑demand Nintendo hardware, aiming to capture eager fans while managing crowds and resale pressure. Best Buy’s strategy includes dedicated staff, security measures, and a live‑streamed inventory tracker to maintain transparency.

💡 By turning a single‑day launch into an all‑night event, Best Buy creates a controlled buying environment that curtails scalpers and maximizes genuine fan access to a coveted anniversary product.
