Google Messages for Android is testing a major homepage redesign in its beta channel. The new layout lifts pinned chat avatars into a large banner above the conversation list, pushing other threads down and removing preview text. Search and new‑chat functions move to a centered floating‑action button that expands into a pill‑shaped control while scrolling, improving one‑handed access. The Gemini shortcut is replaced by a compact icon in the top‑right corner beside the profile picture, mirroring Workspace [...]

Movie director Rian Johnson unveiled Chromagraph Camera, a $12.99 iPhone app that aims to deliver film‑like images without the heavy post‑processing typical of existing solutions. Johnson argues that Apple’s default camera produces over‑processed shots and that recent film‑grain options on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo are overly exaggerated. Chromagraph offers a point‑and‑shoot experience, applying subtle texture and color tweaks automatically, and avoids the crashes and delays users report with apps such as Adobe’s Project Indigo. After purchasing the app, Johnson [...]

Apple updated its Apple Music Classical app for iPhone and iPad, adopting the company’s new black‑and‑white icon and a refreshed interface that replaces the long‑used red with blue accents. The redesign aligns the app with the broader Apple Music rebrand that debuted in 2025, including the removal of red from marketing materials and the unveiling of Apple Music Hall in London. Release notes highlight stability and performance improvements, while the app remains free within the standard Apple [...]

Apple refreshed the Apple Music Classical app to align with its parent service’s new monochrome branding. The update replaces the previous white‑note‑on‑red icon with a black‑on‑white G‑clef, while preserving a three‑dimensional look through subtle lighting and shading. Inside the app, red button accents have been swapped for a blue hue that matches Apple’s standard palette across its software. The redesign follows Apple’s broader visual overhaul of Apple Music, which introduced a colorful campaign featuring sound‑wave‑driven water graphics but retained the [...]

Pregnancy tracking is now available through Cycle Health settings or coach chat, pausing period alerts [...]

Discord’s new Rust‑based Windows 11 client launches faster than the legacy Electron version, loading the friends list before the Electron app exits its “Starting” screen. A 15‑second clip posted by CTO Stanislav Vishnevskiy shows the Rust build opening in under a second and using only 290.2 MB of RAM while two accounts are signed in—about 70 % less than the Electron app’s typical 1‑2 GB idle usage. The Rust client also skips the startup modal, auto‑updating in the background. Discord [...]

Raycast has expanded its Screen Awareness suite with a new “Dictate to AI” command that lets users speak requests while the app automatically supplies contextual information from the active window. The feature builds on the August launch of Screen Awareness, which already allowed users to feed app or window content into AI Chat without manual copying or screenshots. In a demo video, Raycast co‑founder Pedro Duarte shows how voice input is paired with real‑time screen context, eliminating [...]

The company claims the client boots 60% faster, page loads improve up to 50%, and in‑app windows open 65% quicker, though actual speeds depend on hardware and connection. The redesign adds streamlined navigation, refreshed filters, new game‑organising options, and integrates social features directly into the main menu. Search has been overhauled, game cards and animations receive a [...]
