INS Nistar Strengthens Indian Navy’s Deep-Sea Diving and Submarine-Rescue Capability
The Indian Navy took delivery of Nipun, its second indigenously built Diving Support Vessel (DSV), from Hindustan Shipyard Limited in Visakhapatnam on July 30, 2026. Constructed to Indian Register of Shipping standards, the vessel enhances deep‑sea diving, submarine‑rescue and underwater salvage operations.
