Apple released iOS 27.3 beta 1 today, adding a suite of new features. Among them, the company expanded the iPhone Duo’s redesigned StandBy mode to all iPhones. StandBy, introduced in iOS 17, turns a charging phone into a smart display. The update is slated for December [...]

Samsung saw a notable uptick in Galaxy Z Fold 8 sales in South Korea the week after Apple launched its iPhone Duo on Oct. 23, with the foldable’s weekly volume rising about 20 percent, according to The Korea Herald. The surge follows consumer frustration with the Duo’s debut, marred by unoptimized apps and a “crackgate” issue that left some units with broken inner displays. Analysts note the Fold 8’s lower price—$1,599 versus the Duo’s cost—makes it a more attractive option in [...]

Apple is expected to release the iPhone 18e with only incremental updates, retaining the familiar notch design rather than adopting Dynamic Island. The rumors indicate that Apple will continue its pattern of modest yearly revisions, reserving major redesigns for later generations. While the credibility [...]

Complaints surfaced on Reddit, Samsung’s community forums and Google’s support pages, describing stuttering playback and complete connection loss. The problem appears limited to a subset of phones, but a pattern is evident. Android Authority tested a Galaxy S25 Edge on One UI 8.5, which worked flawlessly, while a Galaxy S24 Ultra on One UI 9 reproduced the reported glitches, suggesting [...]

Apple CEO John Ternus used the company’s Q4 earnings call on Nov. 2 to confront two headline‑making issues: a persistent shortage of the new iPhone Duo foldable and the rollout of a rebuilt Siri. The Duo sold out online and sparked lines at stores in October, yet Ternus said Apple cannot yet predict when supply will meet demand, noting a “very small percentage” of units have returned for cracked screens and are being replaced. He also cited an AI‑driven [...]
