CNET has constructed a custom “Fold‑a‑Phone” rig that continuously folds and unfolds the iPhone Duo 24/7, livestreaming the process on YouTube from 1‑5 p.m. ET each weekday. After more than a week of operation, the device has completed just over 260,000 cycles. Early results show the hinge and crease remain robust, with no visible degradation. CNET plans to keep testing daily until at least November 20 to monitor long‑term durability.

Resident Evil director Zach Cregger revealed that his iPhone is a core tool for pre‑production, using it to create photo boards that map out each shot with the professional lenses he plans to use. By capturing stills on the phone, he can plan camera angles, lens choices, and framing before filming, ensuring a precise visual plan. Cregger emphasizes that the iPhone’s sensor is the source of the footage, not just a planning aid, and that anyone can [...]

The feature was uncovered by beta tester Aaron Perris and can be accessed via a dedicated “Selfie Sing” playlist. A second enhancement improves the landscape lyrics view: animated album artwork now extends into the [...]

Apple unveiled its first foldable, the iPhone Duo, priced at over $2,000. The device features a D‑shaped design, a nano‑textured folding display, and a versatile hinge that supports multiple angles. While the camera performance falls short of Pro‑level expectations and multitasking lags behind Android rivals, the Duo offers strong battery life, IP68 durability, and seamless integration with Apple’s ecosystem. Reviewers note that the developer ecosystem unlocks unique experiences, making the phone more useful than its hardware compromises [...]

Apple’s iPhone Duo expands the StandBy feature, allowing the phone to serve as a glanceable display whenever it is not in use, not just while charging. The 7.6‑inch Duo screen can show time, date, calendar, weather, photos, and customizable widgets. StandBy activates automatically in tent mode or when the Duo is propped upright, and offers a Night Mode that turns the display red for sleep. Users can choose from pre‑set “faces” or create custom layouts for different [...]
