Major Even Realities G2 smart glasses update adds Conversate ‘Pro Mode,’ Knowledge…

Even Realities announced the rollout of version 2.4.0 for its G2 smart glasses, introducing a personal Knowledge Base and an upgraded Conversate ‘Pro Mode.’ The Knowledge Base stores up to ten user‑selected Conversate records during initial setup, with optional automatic uploads, allowing the AI to reference that curated data in future sessions. Conversate Pro Mode surfaces relevant stored information, aiming for more trustworthy context than generic AI suggestions. The update also upgrades the device’s AI to Even AI 2.0, adding touch‑sensor activation, press‑to‑record controls, multi‑turn conversations, and in‑chat access to Even Hubs apps and settings. Both features launch today in beta with a limited monthly usage allowance, and a new tortoiseshell frame color is offered for early adopters to test.

💡 By letting users curate the AI’s reference material, Even Realities gives professionals tighter control over data relevance, reducing hallucinations in on‑the‑go reporting.

Gears of War: E‑Day hits VR and looks fantastic?

Gears of War: E‑Day’s launch has been met with strong approval, as critics and players commend both its campaign and multiplayer experiences. Early community activity includes a Halo‑themed squad‑swap mod and a standout virtual‑reality conversion posted by user @rockonthehillc on X. The VR mod adds full‑body tracking, manual reloads and other immersive features, prompting speculation about a first‑person Gears title. The author argues that expanding the franchise into new perspectives—such as first‑person horror set amid the Locust—could revitalize the IP, noting Xbox’s recent genre experiments with Gears and contrasting them with Halo’s missed opportunities. While an official VR or first‑person game remains unlikely, the fan‑driven project showcases the series’ adaptability and the community’s enthusiasm for innovative gameplay.

💡 The VR mod demonstrates that fan‑crafted tools can unlock fresh ways to experience established franchises, pressuring publishers to consider officially supporting such immersive formats.
