Google already rolling out Android 17 QPR3 Beta 1 for Pixel
AI-summarised brief · reviewed before publication
Google has released Android 17 QPR3 Beta 1 for Pixel devices, following a QPR2 launch earlier in the week. The beta targets a stable March 2027 release and is available for a wide range of Pixel models, including the 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, Tablet, Fold, 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 9 Pro Fold, 9a, 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, 10 Pro Fold, 10a, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL, and 11 Pro Fold, as well as the Android Emulator. Users can file bugs through the Android Beta Feedback app or the Android Beta subreddit. Opting out of the beta will trigger a downgrade and wipe user data, while remaining in the program allows on‑device OTA updates.
💡 Why It Matters
- · The beta rollout expands testing to newer Pixel models, ensuring broader compatibility before the stable release.
- · It also clarifies the opt‑out process, helping users avoid data loss.
