Nintendo confirmed it will not raise the Switch 2 price further after reporting a 16% drop in operating profit to 73.9 billion yen and a 15% decline in console sales. In the quarter ending September 30, 2.67 million Switch 2 units were sold, down 41% year‑over‑year and below the 3.82 million sold in the first quarter of the fiscal year. Shares rose 8.13% after the report.

💡 The decision to cap prices signals Nintendo’s confidence in the Switch 2’s long‑term viability amid a tightening console market. It also underscores the critical role of flagship games in sustaining hardware momentum.

Resident Evil director Zach Cregger revealed that his iPhone is a core tool for pre‑production, using it to create photo boards that map out each shot with the professional lenses he plans to use.
