Apple has launched a new advertising campaign for the ProLED MacBook Pro, targeting users on Discord, a platform popular among its core demographic. The ad appears as a viewing option to active Discord members, who receive 250 in‑game currency for cosmetics upon completing the advertisement. This strategy continues Apple’s long‑standing practice of placing ads where its audience spends time, while leveraging Discord’s engagement metrics to reach tech‑savvy consumers. The campaign underscores Apple’s focus on immersive, platform‑specific marketing. [...]

A liquid spill can continue to harm a Mac long after the surface appears dry, so immediate action is crucial to avoid costly repairs. Users should power down the device, unplug any chargers, and blot visible moisture before assessing how far the liquid traveled. Water can infiltrate the keyboard, ports, and seams, reaching internal components even when the exterior looks dry. The severity of damage depends on the volume, entry point, and composition of the liquid; sugary [...]

Apple announced that 170,000 MacBook Neo laptops have been sold to students and teachers in the Philippines, marking one of its largest education‑sector deals. The Neo, introduced in March 2026, is the first MacBook to use the A18 Pro iPhone chip and was initially priced at $499 for education buyers before a price hike to $649 in October. Despite the increase, it remains the cheapest MacBook available directly from Apple, with the 256 GB model now costing about [...]

The current 14‑inch and 16‑inch Pro models feature PROLED XDR displays and touch screens, priced at $2,899 and $3,399 respectively, while the entry 14‑inch model starts at $1,999 without touch. The 2027 models will use the new M7 Pro and M7 Max chips, emphasizing AI capabilities, and the 14‑inch version will remain touch‑free but lighter.

Apple unveiled a new MacBook Pro featuring a PROLED XDR display and the company’s first touch‑screen laptop, paired with macOS 27 “Golden Gate.” The OS adds larger traffic‑light icons when tapped, expands touch targets in menus, and enables trackpad gestures—such as three‑finger swipes for Mission Control, space switching, pinch‑to‑zoom, and scrolling—directly on the screen. Spotlight can be launched from the Dynamic Island, mirroring iOS 27 behavior, and Safari gains pull‑to‑refresh. Developers gain full touch control of the iOS simulator [...]

Apple unveiled its first major MacBook Pro redesign in five years, introducing a PROLED XDR display and a lighter chassis. The 14‑inch model sheds 0.5 lb and the 16‑inch loses 0.7 lb, while thickness is marginally reduced. The top case, keyboard, trackpad, speaker array and port layout remain unchanged, making the update feel more like a display refresh than a full redesign. Pricing has risen, with the new units $400 above the previous mini‑LED versions, which themselves were $300 [...]
