AI-summarised brief · reviewed before publication

Google announced that it will discontinue the Pixel Watch’s emergency LTE “Safety Signal” feature on December 12, 2024. The feature previously allowed Pixel Watch 2 and 3 LTE models to connect to cellular networks for Emergency SOS and Safety Check when no phone or internet was available. Without Safety Signal, users must rely on a paired phone or an active cellular plan to access these life‑saving functions. Google will notify Google Health Premium subscribers 30 days before the shutdown.

💡 Why It Matters

· The removal removes a critical backup for users who rely on the watch alone in emergencies, potentially limiting their ability to reach help without a phone or carrier plan.

“Break up with your MacBook”: Microsoft bribes you with up to $1,000…

Microsoft is offering up to $1,000 in cash back for MacBook Pro owners who pre‑order the RTX Spark‑powered Surface Laptop Ultra through its U.S. and Canadian Microsoft Store trade‑in program, valid from October 7 to November 23, 2026.
